Texting on Telnyx numbers for HighLevel teams
Add texting to the number your customers already know, see in plain English why a text failed, stop junk texts before they reach HighLevel, and register for 10DLC in a guided flow.
Phone Clover as HighLevel's native SMS provider, which covers Conversations, workflows, bulk texts and the mobile app, is built but not switched on. Everything else on this page works today.
Works today
Your text health, in one place
Five tools that run on your Telnyx numbers today, for every early-access account. Each one sits in Phone Clover's settings inside HighLevel.
Hosted SMS: text from the number you already own
Add texting to a US landline or VoIP number without porting it. Calls on the number stay where they are. Telnyx reviews it, usually in 1 to 3 business days.

Failed-text reasons, and a retry
Carrier error codes, translated into plain English. Turn on "Retry from another number" to resend automatically, and "Skip landlines" to avoid a failure you can predict.

Spam firewall before HighLevel
Junk texts are stopped before they reach your Conversations inbox. Block virtual-number senders, accept only the countries you choose, and release anything caught by mistake.

10DLC registration, in a guided flow
US carriers require business texting registration. Phone Clover walks you through it from the Texting tab and shows where each step stands.
- Business. Legal name, address and EIN. Phone Clover keeps only the last 4 digits of the EIN after registering.
- Use case. What you text and why, 2 to 5 sample messages, how people opt in, and how you handle HELP replies.
- Review. A timeline of each step, per-number Registered or Waiting chips, and Fix and resubmit if carriers push back.
- Toll-free. A separate verification form if the sub-account has a toll-free number.

Texting from HighLevel itself, on Telnyx
Phone Clover can register as HighLevel's SMS provider, so texts sent from Conversations travel over your Telnyx numbers. It is built, but not switched on for early-access accounts, and workflow and bulk texting through it has not been tested yet. We will switch it on when it is ready and update the status page.

10DLC, explained
If you text US customers from a regular 10-digit number, carriers expect you to be registered.
What it is. A2P 10DLC is the US carriers' registration system for business texting from standard local numbers. You register a brand (your business) and a campaign (what you text people about), and your numbers are assigned to that campaign.
Why it matters. Unregistered business texts are more likely to be filtered or blocked. "Number not registered for texting" is one of the failure reasons Phone Clover shows when that happens.
Who decides. The carriers and The Campaign Registry review every registration. Neither Phone Clover nor HighLevel controls how long that takes, and nobody can promise a faster approval. What we can do is make the form clear and show you where it stands.
What it costs. Brand and campaign fees are set by Telnyx and the carriers and billed to your Telnyx account. Check Telnyx's current pricing before you register.
One thing to know. Each sub-account has one brand and one campaign. Numbers added after approval are assigned with the "Check now" action.
Numbers in other countries
If your customers live outside the US, give them a local number to call and text, without leaving HighLevel.
Buy a Telnyx number in another country from Settings, Numbers, "Get a number", and it lands straight in the sub-account. Search by country and type, and see the price before you buy.
- Local, mobile, toll-free, national and shared-cost types
- Some countries ask for documents or an address first; the wizard collects them
- Up to 5 purchases per day per sub-account
- Porting, short codes and alphanumeric sender IDs are by email, not self-serve
